Ian Mathews and Keith Poole of the National YC Dun Laoghaire emerged as victors after the final race of the Championship of Ireland at Dunmore East at the weekend (August 30 – September 1).
The pair’s steady success, without an individual race win, edged Strangford Lough team Roger Chamberlain and Charlie Horder into second place.
British visitors Andy and Anthony Osman, from Poole, scored a third overall in the 30-boat event hosted by Waterford Harbour SC.
