Strangford Lough’s Roger Chamberlain and Charlie Horder eased to victory in the Northern Championship at Cushendall at the weekend (June 14,15th), establishing a lead big enough to allow them retire in the last race.
Dun Laoghaire sailors and reigning national champions Ian Mathews and Keith Poole had to settle for second, ahead of Strangford’s Brian McKee and John Gibson in the 20-boat fleet.
