Double-victory brings convincing series win for Gorman, Cahill

Dave Gorman and Dave Cahill emerged convincing winners in the NYC Frostbite Series, winning the final two races yesterday (Nov 16th).

They had 12 points to spare over second and third placed teams Niall Meagher & Nicki Matthews, and Niall Coleman & Mick Quinn. 

Mick McCambridge and Peter Murphy won the Silver Fleet tropy, while Joe Coughlan and Phil Marsden topped the Bronze.

Gorman finds calm route to victory

David Gorman somehow found enough wind to win the opener in the NYC Frostbite series on Dublin Bay today (Oct 12th), with just six of 14 boats managing to finish on time. Full results

Frequent Flyer wins Thursday DBSC overall series

12 Flying Fifteens turned out for the last DBSC Thursday race last night (Aug 28th) where the season's overall positions would be determined.
On arrival at the club the wind was gusting in the high twenties from the south. PRO Jack Roy went out to check conditions and it was all systems go in a force 5-6. The race and the overall series was won by Chris Doorly & Alan Green in Frequent Flyer, which is new to them this year.

Green, Mathews have a blast

Alan Green and Ian Mathews, sailing Frequent Flyer, took the win in the only race of the day yesterday (Aug 16th), with Thingamabob second and Perfect Ten third. After some spectacular broaching in Race 1, Race 2 was called off, with winds in excess of 30kts reported. Full results

Today's Captain's Prize race also was cancelled as the strong winds continued or even strengthened overnight.
