Green and Doorly lift 2017 Frostbites trophy

Alan Green and Chris Doorly lifted the Mitsubishi Motors National YC Flying Fifteen Frostbites at the weekend (Sat, Nov 18), with the helm, aided by Ben Mulligan, winning two of four races on the final day of the series in which he had also partnered with Ben Longstaff.

Updated results for the  series are posted on the National YC website. Typically, each weekend's full results are posted on Monday.

NYC Frostbites Notice of Race, SIs and online entry

NYC-FRostbiteThe Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions and online entry for the forthcoming National YC DLFF Frostbite series are on the club website.  As usual, the series, with Ian Mathews as Race Officer, promises some exciting racing.

Please enter early to facilitate planning.

An innovation this year iis the six-race format on one of the race days (see NoR for details).

Telltale: new crew, new boats, new new jibs. And no old jokes

It's been a while now since Telltale has updated you all on our little Flying Fifteen family and, despite Christie's regular personal column inches in Afloat, it's time for a slightly different report.

Always newsworthy Major Dumpleforth, back from helping team New Zealand put the finishing touches to their tuning for the Americas Cup, was seen training himself on a Monday evening. His enthusiasm has been dialled up again, training on a Monday no less where with gay abandon he dumped his trailer in the no parking zone at the top of the slip and headed for the bay, having secured the services new crew.
